According to Greek myth, Andromeda, daughter of queen Cassiopeia, was punished for her mother's vanity. As divine sacrifice, she was chained to the shore, where she awaited her monstrous fate at the gods' hands. As if ravaged by the ocean itself, this craggy, wax–cast bracelet draws inspiration from the chains that bound Andromeda before she was freed—whisked away to Greece by the hero Perseus.
