During their formative years at Central Saint Martins, designers Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena bonded over a love for traditional craft. Years later, the duo founded their namesake label upon this shared affinity. Sustainability and craftsmanship sit, hand in hand, at the beating heart of Chopova Lowena. Honouring both of these pursuits, the duo create garments exclusively from recycled materials and overstock fabrics, sourced from Emma’s native Bulgaria. The pair’s jewelry–making process is a natural extension of their ready–to–wear, drawing upon the joyful, serendipitous nature of the found object. Handcrafted from these hidden treasures — vintage charms, deadstock chains, and upcycled hardware — each Chopova Lowena jewel is the singular sum of its one–of–a–kind parts.
